Online Studio
Our
first stop just has to be ToleTown's Online Studio! Here members take a
variety of wonderful classes each month, find links to color conversion
charts, materials for monthly classes as well as a complete archive of
over 150 past lessons and projects and more!
Most online classes give students a written
lesson or video clip to download and leave you basically painting on
your own, but here at ToleTown your teacher is actually presenting the
class to you LIVE, in real time! You are provided with step
by step photos throughout the class, along with video clips; and are
able to enjoy interaction with other students and the teacher just as
in a "real" paint class! We call it a virtual tole shop for that
very reason!

Many of our visitors find it amazing that
we all sit around our computers and paint, but it's really not that
difficult! We have found that by setting a folding table or tray
next to the computer desk students are able to enjoy the class and feel
"safe" with water and paint distanced from the keyboard! :o)
If the timing of a live class just doesn't
fit your schedule you can still enjoy the project as you have full
access to all class materials as well as the class logs. And,
since your teachers live right here in town, you are free to email them
with questions at any time!
Below is a view of our class preview area in the Studio:
The SelfStudy Door is your link to our archive of past materials... over 200 projects! To the left below you see the layout of our archive, to the right a sampling of past projects and lessons!
Class materials including line drawing, prep, detailed instructions, step-by-step pictures, and class logs are neatly archived as e-packets for your painting enjoyment!
A recent article in CraftWorks magazine reported that the average price for an online class was $20.00... if you joined us for our classes alone your membership would pay for itself over and over again, averaging out to a cost of just over $1.50 per live class! What a deal!
